My name is Anyiné (ann-yee-neh) but my friends call me Angie. I’m an Afro Latina with roots in Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Chicago. I’m a mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend and teacher. A year ago I decided to go all natural and not relax my hair anymore. Little did I know that going natural was more than letting my afro out… It has been a journey of self-acceptance, soul searching and embracing my true beauty inside and out. As the journey continues, I share my story with the world!
